– BBC Jobs. I’d like to view the jobs site through the medium of interpretive dance.
So it turns out you have to put the invoices in the photocopier the other way up. Otherwise you end up with fifty blank pieces of paper. And a red face. Also: don’t do this at a quarter to five.
Today I saw a guy wearing a Diesel Sweeties hoody. It pretty much made my day. Much like that time I talked to the girl working in the corner shoppe with the bearmonster shirt (and the suitably-QC awkward silence that followed). And again the next day, when I first met Jen.
Its like we’re all in a little secret club and only recognise other members by their outfits. But we’re not...

Friday is Science Day
This Friday is anyway.
I noticed today that sunrise and sunset are not equal amounts of time either side of 12 noon. Sunrise is at about 8am at the moment, sunset about 4.30pm - that means the sun must cross the meridian at 12.15 (half way between the two). I always thought that the sun crossed the meridian at 12 noon.

LC: am not appreciating our pastiness B!
BB: I know! Stupid bloke in camera shop over-exposed everything! Plus...everyone is ginger!

CT: Did somebody say pale and ginger?
IE8 and version targeting
The WHOLE WORLD is talking about this. Well, some of the bits of the world that I read about on the internets anyway.

After all, if we want Internet Explorer to keep up catching up with web standards,...
British Sea Power
I was going to have a bit of a whinge about how British Sea Power’s new stuff isn’t as good as it could be* but when one of your favourite bands play some of your favourite songs, you can’t help but enjoy a show.
Highlights included Spirit of St. Louis (with Yan descending from the balcony into the crowd), True Adventures (using the glitterball to create a crescent moon was...

– Grandaddy, “Yeah” Is What We Had
I'm up late...
… listening to Grandaddy, coding away. I’ve spent far too much time this week staring at HTML, CSS and PHP. Normality seems to have slipped away to the extent that I seem to be working on Pacific Standard Time at the moment. Just a shame I’m not anywhere near the Pacific. Not that you’ll catch me complaining. Happy days (or nights).

Tumble!
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to write a blog - I guess this is the first step! Who knows what’s going to end up going on here. The ride should be fun at least. Won’t you come along?
